Effective July 17, 2026. These terms explain the rules for using Confilens and how video analysis works.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Confilens mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be legally permitted to use the Service where you live. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and all activity under your account. Users who cannot legally consent on their own may use the Service only with authorization from a parent or legal guardian.
Confilens lets you record practice sessions and receive AI-generated analysis of areas such as voice, expression, clarity, pace, and delivery. The feedback is intended for general practice and informational purposes. It is not professional, medical, psychological, employment, or legal advice, and it does not guarantee any particular outcome.
When you request an analysis, your captured video and audio are sent to a Confilens server for transient processing. The analysis uses intelligence supplied by a third-party AI provider as part of generating your feedback. By requesting an analysis, you authorize this transfer and processing for that purpose.
Confilens keeps recordings in the app's private local storage on your device. Recordings are not automatically saved to your device gallery; a gallery copy is created only when you manually download or export it. You are responsible for managing and deleting both private app copies and any copies you choose to download.
Video and audio are not saved to Confilens cloud storage. Neither Confilens nor the third-party AI provider retains the recording in cloud storage after the requested analysis is completed. A locally deleted recording may not be recoverable.
Confilens may sync analysis results and related analytics to your account, including scores, feedback, coaching suggestions, session type, timestamps, and progress metrics. This sync does not include the original video or audio. You authorize us to process and store these analytics to provide history, progress features, support, and service operations as described in the Privacy Policy.
The Service relies on third-party providers, including AI processing, authentication, hosting, payment, and app-store services. Their systems may be subject to separate terms and privacy practices. For Confilens recording analysis, video and audio processing is transient and recordings are not retained in cloud storage after the requested analysis completes. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, and their availability may affect the Service.
You retain your rights in recordings and other content you create. You grant Confilens and its processing providers the limited rights necessary to transmit, process, and analyze content when you request the Service.
Confilens and its licensors retain all rights in the Service, including its software, design, branding, and generated service components. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Service to you.
Paid features may be offered through an app store or payment provider. Prices, billing periods, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are shown at purchase and are also subject to the provider's terms. You are responsible for cancelling through the platform where you subscribed.
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, maintain the Service, or address violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
The Service and AI-generated feedback are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular situation, and you are responsible for how you use it.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Confilens will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunities, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the revised Terms and update the effective date. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them to the extent permitted by law.
