This Privacy Policy explains how Confilens ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Confilens mobile app and website. It is especially important to us that you understand what happens to videos recorded in the app.

This Privacy Policy explains how Confilens ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Confilens mobile app and website. It is especially important to us that you understand what happens to videos recorded in the app.
When you request an analysis, the app sends the captured video and audio to a Confilens server. The server processes the recording for the requested analysis and uses intelligence supplied by a third-party AI provider as part of generating your feedback.
This processing is transient. The video and audio are not saved to Confilens cloud storage, and neither Confilens nor the third-party AI provider retains the recording in cloud storage after the analysis is completed.
By default, recordings are kept in the Confilens app's private local storage on your device. They are not automatically saved to your photo or video gallery. A recording is copied to the device gallery only when you manually choose the app's download or export option.
Videos held in private app storage remain under the app's local device controls. Deleting a video in the app, clearing the app's local data, or uninstalling the app may permanently remove that copy. A video you manually downloaded to the gallery must be managed or deleted separately through your device. Confilens cannot restore a locally deleted video.
Confilens syncs analysis results and related analytics to your account so that you can view your history and progress across sessions. Synced analytics may include scores, feedback, coaching suggestions, session type, timestamps, and progress metrics.
The original video and audio are not included in this account sync. We use synced analytics to provide the service, maintain your progress history, troubleshoot problems, and understand app performance.
We share only the information reasonably necessary for providers to perform services on our behalf. These providers may include an AI provider supplying intelligence used during a requested analysis, cloud infrastructure used for account analytics, authentication services, payment platforms, and diagnostics providers. Video and audio are processed only for the requested analysis and are not retained in cloud storage. We do not sell your personal information.
Because videos are stored in the app's private local device storage—or in your gallery after a manual download—video retention is controlled through your device. Account information and synced analytics are retained while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
You may request deletion of your account and synced analytics by using available in-app controls or emailing developers@qfnetwork.org. Deleting your account does not automatically delete videos held in your device's local storage or gallery; you must delete those local copies on your device.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect account information and synced analytics. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should also protect access to your device and account.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal information. You can also choose not to record a video or submit it for AI analysis. To make a privacy request, contact us using the address below.
Confilens is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users who are not old enough to consent under the laws where they live must use the service only with authorization from a parent or guardian.
Confilens and its service providers may process account information, analytics, and recordings submitted for analysis in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date.
